ECTN for Burundi requires a stamped copy of Bill of Loading and a commercial invoice of the goods. According to Burundi customs regulations, the authorised person must validate ECTN 5 days after the departure and/or 5 days prior to the shipment’s arrival. Shipments without ECTN results in a fine of an amount that is equivalent to the cost of the ECTN in addition to a regulation charge determined by Burundi Customs officials.
