Implemented and monitored by Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Conformity Assessment Program requires the assessment of conformity for the applicable products to be imported, conducted in the country of origin. For consigments due to Nigeria, there are 2 certain certificates required.

See below for alternatives, Product Certificate related with the quantity of the shipments and Soncap Certificate required for all consignment of goods.

  • Route A : Covers Unregistered/Unlicensed Products; Each shipment to be imported requires inspection, sampling, testing to applicable standards and “Full Container Load” FCL stuffing supervision and sealing based on risk assessment.
    For each shipment, it is valid for six months upon the completion of systematic inspection and product sampling.
  • Route B : Covers Registered Products. Requires inspection, sampling, testing to applicable standards and “Full Container Load” FCL stuffing supervision and sealing based on risk assessment. Preferable for shipments conducted more than once a year. Product certification is valid for one year.

It is issued upon the completion of supplier’s verification or where applicable, the manufacturer’s facility audit.
